Most ecommerce agencies sell strategy decks.
Fin Method sells fixed outcomes. Small, delivered in days. Priced so a founder can commission one without asking a board.
Same difference between a doctor's prescription and a lifestyle consultant's mood board.
Where the method came from
Before Fin Method existed, there was one operator running a UK ecommerce business at a real scale — £1 million on Shopify, four UK Amazon category #1 bestsellers, ten products in the top 30 of their BSR, damaged returns on one product range moved from 52.1% to 5.93% in a year.
That operator was me. Nadira. I built this method by living inside it for years, not by reading about ecommerce in a MBA classroom.
Which means Fin Method's approach isn't theoretical. It came from the specific frustration of being on the operator side of the desk and being pitched by agencies who had never sat there.
If you've been on that side too, you'll recognise most of what follows.
Three things Fin Method won't do to you
We won't sell you a retainer.
Retainers are what agencies charge when they don't want to be measured. Every Fin Method engagement is a fixed price for a fixed scope, delivered in days. If it doesn't work, you know quickly and cheaply. If it works, you buy the next task the same way.
We won't send you a strategy deck.
Strategy decks are the deliverable when an agency has been paid too much to admit they have nothing to ship. Every Fin Method engagement ends with a thing you can use — a rewritten listing, a diagnostic document, a working plan. If a slide deck arrives instead, ask for a refund.
We won't pretend to know what we don't know.
Fin Method is UK-focused. Amazon and Shopify. Marketplace operations, listing content, conversion diagnostics, returns analysis. That's the domain. If you ask for TikTok influencer strategy or B2B lead generation, we'll refer you to someone who actually does it — and mean it.
The systems-first principle
Most ecommerce work is treated as isolated fixes. A listing refresh. A packaging change. A retargeting campaign. Each fix addresses one symptom. None of them address the operating system underneath.
Fin Method's core insight: every ecommerce problem is a systems problem in disguise.
Returns aren't a customer service problem. They're a signal about gaps between what your listing promises and what your customer receives. Fix the listing, the packaging, the education content — returns collapse.
Poor Amazon conversion isn't a "keyword problem." It's usually what happens when your title fights your bullet points, which fight your A+ content, which fight your reviews. Fix the coherence across those layers — conversion recovers.
High ad spend that doesn't scale isn't a "creative problem." It's what happens when the storefront receiving the traffic wasn't designed for the traffic. Fix the storefront — the ads start working again without changing the ads.
Every service Fin Method sells is designed around this principle: diagnose the system, not the symptom. Fix the cause, not the complaint.
The five-part storytelling framework
Underneath every Fin Method deliverable — listings, PDPs, ads, email flows, A+ Content — sits the same five-part story arc. It's not proprietary. It's not revolutionary. It's just the pattern that consistently works when writing for buyers who are three seconds away from bouncing.
1. Hook Stop the scroll. Emotional or visual. Big claim, sharp image, or uncomfortable question. If the customer isn't stopped in the first half-second, nothing else matters.
2. Pain point Name the specific frustration the customer already has. "Tired of flimsy chairs that wobble after a month?" beats "Premium quality furniture." One acknowledges their reality. The other assumes you're above it.
3. Benefits Solve the pain with specifics, not adjectives. "Hand-crafted from solid oak — built to last for years" beats "Superior craftsmanship." Specifics build trust. Adjectives build suspicion.
4. Variations Give the customer choice. Colours, sizes, bundles, formats. Choice converts because it turns "should I buy?" into "which should I buy?" The second question has better economics.
5. Ways to style / use Show the customer their life with the product in it. Not the product on a white background. The product being used, misused, loved, adapted, integrated into rooms and rituals and routines. This is where hesitation dies.
Every listing Fin Method touches gets this structure. Even the ones that look nothing like a five-slide sequence.
The "Ways to Style / Use" reframing
Most operators write listings that describe the product. Fin Method writes listings that describe how the customer's life changes with the product in it.
Same object, different framing. The reframing multiplies the addressable market.
A two-seater sofa isn't a two-seater sofa. It's a morning coffee corner, an evening Netflix spot, a guest bed with a throw and pillow, a home office chill-out chair, a compact studio must-have. Five roles inside the buyer's mind, one physical object.
This is where most agency copy stops short. Describing the object is easy. Describing five ways the object earns its place in a customer's home takes actual thinking — and that's where the conversion lift comes from.
How engagements work
Every Fin Method service is priced, scoped, and timed to be completed before you have time to regret buying it.
Book once. Pick a service from the catalogue. Pay upfront. No discovery call required unless you want one.
We deliver. Within the stated timeline. Usually days, sometimes a week or two for larger scopes. If we're going to be late, we tell you before the deadline, not after.
You use it. Every deliverable is designed to be used by your team, not just admired in a folder. If you want us to implement it too, some services include that. If not, the handoff document is clear enough for your own developer or agency to execute.
No retainer conversations. If you want to work with us again, book another service. If you don't, we won't chase you. The relationship is transactional in the honest sense of the word — we're paid for outcomes, not for staying in your calendar.
Who this isn't for
Fin Method is not for you if:
- You want a monthly retainer relationship where you don't have to keep making decisions
- You want a strategy deck first and execution "later, once we align"
- You want a partner who'll say yes to every request regardless of whether it's the right move
- Your business is complex enough to need in-house operators, not a fractional service provider
These are legitimate needs. Fin Method doesn't meet them. If you're in that position, don't hire us — you'll be frustrated within a month and we'll both regret it.
Fin Method is for founders and operators who want specific outcomes delivered fast, without a two-week onboarding call, without a Slack channel to manage, and without wondering whether the invoice matches the value.

The Fin Audit (£60) is the entry point for most operators. Forty-eight hours, one listing, one written diagnostic covering six evaluation axes with prioritised fixes. Fastest read on whether the method makes sense for your specific situation before committing to anything larger.
If you already know what you need, the full services catalogue has 25 fixed-price services across three tiers — Create (build the asset), Grow (accelerate traction), Analyse (diagnose what's working).
Book what fits. Use it. Come back for more if it works. Don't if it doesn't.
Simple as it should be.
